For the last 12 months I have been telling people Twitter sucks. Who wants to know what you had for breakfast or when you last went to the toilet?
"Its just a lot of noise and not much signal. Is your life really that boring?"
Well I have changed my mind or rather I have found something I think it is good for. Check the link on our main menu bar, Follow us on Twitter. My aim is to condense insights, leads and tit-bits into a highly-concentrated 140 characters. I’ll try to use it sparingly for now and with just a hint of shame. I would like to learn more about it. It’s proving to be a great way to make announcements about KidSafe developments and offers. It also seems to be a great way to get a question answered so maybe give it a go and ask us a question but just don't ask me about my breakfast....

I hated the idea of Twitter too and then I tried it out. I discovered that I was pretty much exactly right about it, and quit.
Short, carefully crafted communication sounds good but in practice, even if I use it this way, no one else does. Your careful, thoughtful, occasional comments get swallowed up in the flood of stupid often passive-aggressive graffiti and replies to people I'm not following but my friends are replying to.
I love the look and feel but hate the usability, sometimes however you have to give these things a go!
